As we have grown, our commitment to giving back to the community that has supported us for decades has deepened. What started as an idea to provide a different colour range, soon snowballed into something more meaningful. That idea became the limited-edition Sterling Pink range, created in support of the McGrath Foundation. With every Sterling pink range tool sold, we donate $2 directly to the McGrath Foundation to help fund their McGrath Cancer Care Nurses, who provide vital support for people and their families across Australia experiencing a cancer diagnosis.

Care is in our DNA
Since Sterling’s inception one value has always been at the heart of what we do—care. From the tradie using our tools every day, the mum and dad renovating, the distributor selling our products, right through to our employees packaging the blades. We care.
That culture of care is apart of our DNA. Operating under the Australian family-owned company, Sheffield Group, we’re proud of our heritage. In the 70s, Sheffield held the national contract to supply double-edged razor blades to the Australian Navy, ensuring every soldier had a reliable shave. It’s a history that reflects our commitment to precision, quality, and trust; pillars that still guide us today.
Over the years, we have continually expanded our products and services. With more than 3000 distributors and stores across Australia, Sterling has become a household name for tradies who want tools they can trust.

Why did we choose the McGrath Foundation?
The McGrath Foundation’s purpose is to ensure that no one goes through cancer without the care of a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse. The McGrath Foundation has dedicated the last 20 years to supporting people with breast cancer, and today that care extends to all cancers.
Across Australia, 302 McGrath Cancer Care Nurses deliver free, world-leading cancer nursing services to support people and their families through cancer. Since 2005, more than 161,000 people have benefited from this care, a testament to the profound impact of the McGrath Foundation’s mission.
These expert nurses not only provide clinical support but also offer emotional and psychosocial care to people with any type of cancer throughout their treatment.

Handled with Care and the McGrath Foundation
The phrase “handled with care” has long appeared on Sterling packaging, but for us, it means much more than how we treat our tools; it’s how we believe people should be treated. That’s why our campaign is called Handled with Care. It represents our values, our culture, and our commitment to supporting the McGrath Foundation in delivering care to those who need it most.

How you can get involved and support the McGrath Foundation
From 15 September, we are calling on the Sterling community to show their support and share a photo of their limited-edition Sterling pink range tool in action on social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) with the hashtag #HandledWithCare.
